Mark has been involved in the construction industry since 1978. His interest in housing came about way before that being influenced by various members of his family. While his father tried his hand at plumbing, his grandfather and uncle swung a hammer crafting wood into fine pieces of art.

If there was a house going up in the neighborhood, Mark’s mother was sure to find him “inspecting” it.

Mark was issued a builders license in the State of Michigan in 1990 after he successfully completed the required state-licensing exam.

After a near fatal motorcycle accident in 1997, Mark decided it was time to retire from heavy construction and venture into the emerging field of home inspections, a natural transition. He attended one of North America’s finest home inspection training facilities, HomeTech Information Systems, Inc., located in Bethesda, MD.

He is not one to let the grass grow beneath him. He continues to seek to improve his skills in the form of continuing education, seminars, meetings, and certification training just to stay on top of the industry as it continues to evolve.

Mark gained experience working alongside the pioneers of the home inspection industry until the summer of 2003. It was then he felt it was time to venture out on his own. Master Home Services was born and registered with the state of Michigan as a limited liability company in June of that year.
